Boston Research Technologies (BRT) and Retirement Clearinghouse (RCH) have made available the results from a survey of over 3,000 American workers who could be eligible for the Saver's Match, a SECURE Act 2.0 program that is intended to be implemented for tax years following 2027.
This paper uncovers unique insights into the Saver’s Match program by surveying over 3,000 retirement savers who would meet the qualifications to be eligible to receive a program matching contribution. The paper describes the characteristics of these savers, examines the behavioral impacts of the program, identifies aspects of the program based upon race & ethnicity and describes challenges the program may face in administering millions of annual matching contributions.
